Image Quality for AOL Users
If you are using a browser from America Online, you might not see photos in their best quality.
AOL manipulates some web images to make them download faster, but the photos' quality can suffer
(depending on the particular image).
You can set your AOL software to display images and photographs at their original quality.
Then you will see all web images the way users of other internet browsers see them. Simply follow
the numbered steps below.
Note: The wording, design and default image settings of AOL's menus and screens may vary slightly,
depending on which version of an AOL web browser you are using.
Steps to Take
1. Go to your "My AOL" menu and choose the "Preferences" item.
2. Click the "WWW" icon to view your AOL web browser's preferences.
3. Un-check the "Use compressed images" option.
4. Click the "Empty cache now" button.
5. Click the "OK" button to accept your changes and finish.
After performing the steps outlined above, it might also help to click the
"refresh" button to reload the web page you currently are viewing.
